It's the end of May, and time is passing faster every week.
This is the month that I apply to my new school program and take the next step in my education. I couldn't be more excited or more terrified. (Terrified in a good way.) It's going to be a long and winding road to my degree, but it's not a real sacrifice if you're enjoying what you're doing. Recently I have been writing poetry again, so I've posted a poem here on the blog for anyone to read. There is more to come, but working on my short story and my novel have definitely been my priorities. I'm considering writing another short story just for the blog, but I can't post the one I'm currently working on, since I plan to sell it for publication in a journal. There are also some ideas tumbling around in my head for a fictional blog series set in a fantasy world, starring a recently created character that I have fallen in love with. So, once I've finished the story I'm working on, I'm going to get out a few good pieces before school starts and I'm buried under a pile of work. Tru//xo

It's me again, I'm back and thinking about uploading.
It's been a while since I thought about my blog, my mind has been full of other ideas, and tasks, and goals - it's been hard to prioritize some projects. This space is always in my mind and in passing thoughts. When I think about writing short fiction, I think about my blog; when I think about doing a review, I think about my blog; when I think about making YouTube videos, I think about my blog. But each time I think about it, something inside me is urged to put the blog aside for something else. I don't want that to be the case. So I am signing on and posting, with a goal of reaching a more consistent level of content creation - at least until college starts in the fall. My current idea is to post once a week. What will I post, that's the question in my mind. I'm interested in sharing short fiction. Creating a semi-published space for my work so that others can enjoy it and I can accumulate something of a portfolio. I also want to do more in depth book reviews. Start picking up books with the specific intent to review them, doing a detailed analysis, and sharing it via this blog. These ideas are directly tied to my career goals and my learning goals, so I believe it will be much less difficult to accomplish those kinds of blogs, as opposed to video game or personal and lifestyle blogging. This is where I sign off and write something for the blog. Tru xx |
